Public Health accepts most insurance plans. Individuals who need services and do not have health insurance can be evaluated for sliding scale fees based on ability to pay.
Public Health offers clinics for immunizations including flu, pneumonia and childhood diseases. Other clinics include well child, orthopedic, and scoliosis, lead screening, tuberculosis and blood pressure.

Public Health has a Family Planning clinic for women's gynecological services. Women from teens to postmenopausal are welcome. Family Planning also treats men for sexually transmitted diseases and HIV testing is available to all clients.
Public Health has a Terrorism Response plan in place, which includes several appendixes addressing the receipt, distributing and dispensing of the Strategic National Stockpile; a Pre and Post smallpox plan; a Public Information Plan and a Mass Fatality Response plan.
Public Health has two health educators that are available to provide education on most health related subjects.
The Early Intervention Program provides cost free screening evaluations and services for eligible children through age two who have developmental delays. The Physically handicapped Children's' Program provides financial assistance for hearing and orthodontic services for children through age 21. The Children with Special Health Care Needs program provides free assistance for children through age 21 in finding medical and related community services. (including insurance Preschool Special Education contracts with both Center-based and Independent related service providers who provide educational and health related services to 3-5 year old preschoolers with disabilities. |
